Community Programs

CKYO in the Schools

CKYO is committed to serving the Lexington, Fayette County, and the Central Kentucky region by presenting free or low-cost orchestral performances for public school students. Each season all four CKYO ensembles take a day and travel to public schools to perform for those students. Often, the students attending the performances would have no other opportunity to experience a live classical orchestra concert and CKYO is able to provide this unique and inspirational experience by bringing our orchestras directly into public schools.

Contact Amelia Groetsch at 859-254-0796 or if you would like to schedule a performance by one of the CKYO orchestras at your school!
