Nancy Campbell serves as the Orchestra Director at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCAPA) for Fayette County Public Schools and is an Instrumental Music Faculty member for the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts.
Mrs. Campbell has served as President, Secretary/Treasurer and Membership Chair of Kentucky Chapter of the American String Teachers Association, Inc. and is the Past Orchestra Chair for the Kentucky Music Educators Association. In 2010, she was the recipient of both the KMEA Middle School Teacher of the Year
Award and KYASTA Distinguished Service Award. Additionally, she is cofounder of L.O.V.E. (Lexington’s Original Viola Ensemble) and performs with the Kentucky Bach Choir.
For her creative use of alternative styles, electric instruments, and technology, Mrs. Campbell was named Yamaha Certified String Educator, which recognizes string teachers using innovative ideas and pushing the boundaries of string education.
She received her Bachelor of Music Education from Northern Illinois University and completed her Master of Arts in Education and Rank I Music certification at the University of Kentucky.
