Nancy Campbell

Nancy Campbell is an Instrumental Music Faculty member for the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts Governor’s School for the Arts and formerly as the Orchestra Director at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCAPA).
Mrs. Campbell has served as President, Secretary/Treasurer and Membership Chair of Kentucky Chapter of the American String Teachers Association, Inc. and is Past Orchestra Chair for the Kentucky Music Educators Association. In 2010, she was the recipient of both the KMEA Middle School Teacher of the Year Award and KYASTA Distinguished Service Award. Additionally, she is the cofounder of L.O.V.E. (Lexington's Original Viola Ensemble) and performs as an extra violist with the Lexington Philharmonic.
For her creative use of alternative styles, electric instruments, and technology teaching practices, Mrs. Campbell was named Yamaha Certified String Educator, which recognizes string teachers using innovative ideas and pushing the boundaries of string education. She has articles published with the American String Teachers Journal and the D’addario Education Collective.
She received her Bachelor of Music Education from Northern Illinois University and completed her Master of Arts in Education and Rank I Music certification at the University of Kentucky.
