2010-2011 Jazz Arts Orchestra
The CKYO Jazz Arts Orchestra offers high school students advanced training and performance opportunities with our big band jazz ensemble. The Orchestra rehearses one night a week and is comprised of the standard big band instrumentation: alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones, trombones, trumpets, and a full rhythm section featuring drums, bass, guitar, and piano. Their performance venues include the Lexington Opera House, Comedy Off Broadway, Ecton Park, and many others. The Jazz Arts Orchestra will be conducted by Mark Clodfelter and Raleigh Dailey. Auditions are held in December.
