In January, 2008, CKYO adopted
the former Jazz Arts Foundation Youth Ensemble - adding big-band
jazz to its highly successful program of full orchestra and
string ensembles.
The CKYO
Jazz Arts Orchestra rehearses every Tuesday at Maxwell Street
Presbyterian Church. Their performance venues include the
Lexington Opera House, Comedy Off Broadway, and the Falling
Springs Rec Center (in Versailles). They will also be
participating in the Ecton Park Jazz Series and the Lexington
Fourth of July Festival.
