Fundraising

Fundraising is very important to CKYO. It helps us purchase new and challenging music, provide excellent instruction, and perform in some of the area’s premier concert halls.

Since fundraising is a required activity each semester for every member, we offer the following options:

Contact your favorite businesses and ask them to support CKYO by placing their advertisement in our programs. There are three different ad sizes to choose from and the ad will be included in every program for the season. You are responsible for collecting the ad and the money due. Deadline for submissions is October 12. This fundraiser is offered only in the fall and one ad will fulfill your commitment for the year.

We do flower sales in both the fall and spring semesters. For our fall sale, we offer beautiful, high quality poinsettias in various colors. In the spring, spring flowers will be offered. The amount of flowers to be sold by each member is determined by the cost of each flower. For poinsettias, it is usually 10 poinsettias. For the spring flowers, total sales should be $120. If you sell 20 poinsettias, your fundraising committee for the season is fulfilled.

If you would like to decline to participate in fundraising activities, you may donate $50 per semester per child. If your donation is $100 or more in the fall, your fundraising commitment will be fulfilled for the year. Please include this donation with your tuition payment.
