About CKYO

The Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras (CKYO) is one of the oldest, independently chartered youth orchestras in the United States, with a tradition dating back to 1947.  Over 310 students gather from 16 counties and sixty area schools to participate in CKYO.  We offer four orchestras; Symphony, Concert, Preparatory and Jazz, as well as opportunities to participate in chamber ensembles.
